Most of the episode was quite boring. Nothing noteworthy was happening. An entertaining character got killed behind the scenes. Near the end it was beginning to shine but stopped abruptly because of the run time. Thankfully, this isn't a movie so the next episodes can still pick up on it.

Still boring, even after 7 episodes
Mariah's acting was so bad.
There is some really bad acting in this show. Alfre Woodard especially, this character must be out of her range.
The mix of the Mariah/Bushmaster and Luke/his father confrontations was one of the shittiest editing I have ever seen. This was totally broken.
The ending is just as fucked up. So, the whole building is aflame, enough to see from outside. And that someone has the time to run to Luke (by the way knowing he was at his father's church ??), then he has the time to run back, and yet 1) the room were the fire started is still about ok, 2) Tilda still hasn't done anything.
Minimum: she could have pulled the chair out. And why is Mariah in that state, when Tilda was just as close to the fire ? And Bushmaster, the guy that set people's heads on spike, left with just that ? He better not act surprised or angry when he learns she's alive in next episode...
To balance that, Comanche's dead and last moments with Shade was VERY good. On the other, Luke's moment with his father lacked completely of chemistry,yes the editing didn't help, but it was still very poor without that. And even worse: Misty's date. Was hickey af.
Another only good episode, entertaining. That fighting scene with Luke and Knight was really good, the best of the show so far. But, there were so unrealistic things, it's superhero fiction, but, man, were bad.
listen..... Che and Shades deserved better
I really liked Comanche. Sad to see him go.
Well for the action, to see if they hold up well
Following Luke's temporary paralysis, he seeks help from Misty to find Piranha who had now been taken by Bushmaster, used for the transfer of funds and then decapitated. Shades follows the snitch when he meets with the cop. Che shoots the Captain dead and Shades shoots Che dead. Bushmaster attempts to kill Mariah by trapping her in her home and burning the house down but Luke comes and saves her. She says she wants to hire Luke but with what money now?
Second half of this episode made up for the past 2 episodes. Awesome TV!

shades killing che broke my heart. the whole thing got revealed last episode and i think this was the first time we saw shades showing pretty much any emotion.
this episode and the last one have obviously been setting up for Heroes for Hire, and i cant be any more excited for it! Greaat episode!
