This has as many great dynamite explosion gags as I can recall in one cartoon. Spike is the victim of all of them. In typical Avery fashion, the jokes come fast and furiously. There's a great shot of Spike running toward the camera while being pursued by a pack of dogs. This also happens to the alley cat. Avery's choice to show the chases from this point of view was interesting and really stood out. The animation is very colorful and the music fits perfectly. A great cartoon!
