While you would think Milo Murphy's Law would be a sophomore slump for Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, the first season of the show ends up being yet another fantastic winner for the duo that showcases that Phineas and Ferb wasn't just lightning in a bottle. Due to it's likable premise, fantastic characters, and hilarious writing, it craves it's own path and identity while remaining distinctly in their wheelhouse of absurd, oddball humor.
And yet, it also manages to maintain a strong overarching narrative that's a ton of fun, and ends up going into interesting, unlikely places in terms of it's narrative. It's a natural evolution of Phineas and Ferb strong continuity - turning that continuity into it's new focus as plots continue from episode to episode, consequences are permanent, and the mysteries deepen. A must watch for animation fans.
