Regarding mixed race actors: If, for example, "Barack Obama" (somebody with a black father and a white mother who passes as black) is playing a black character with black parents, I'm not going to categorize his character as a mixed character because it seems pretty shitty to imply that a mixed race actor can only play mixed race characters. In an attempt to sort my ethnicity/race lists better, I've created separate lists for African-Canadians/USians, Afro-Caribbean people , and indigenous/minority African people, all listed below.
I know that Africans have a complicated history, especially when it comes to genealogy/heritage, but hopefully this decision is more helpful than having a catch-all list for everybody. Let me know if I've made any mistakes!
