Not sure why but when his fiancé talks her face really freaks me out
yoo the development in this episode is crazy. Kenzo Tenma role as a pawn in hospital politics, and conflict was established. It didn't make sense to attribute the Turkish construction worker's death to him, since other doctors were responsible for his surgery. However, given Tenma's skill, it was expected that he'd work on lives the hospital wants to prioritize saving, and that's where his turmoil lies. I just really love this manga, and Tenma's my favorite character!
The direction of the anime was so good too. The camera angles and movement, and the music heightened the tension (the portrayal of which in the manga I so admired) and Tenma's inner conflict!

I've heard a lot of great things about this show and the first episode is very promising.
The premise is set in Germany and I believe the majority of our interactions with the main character will take place in the hospital though I'll likely be wrong. The story has already established what kind of person Dr Tenma is and I'm excited to see where his journey will progress throughout the next 74 episodes. An interesting concept I find intriguing is whether all human lives are equal or not. This has already created conflict within our main character's beliefs and morals and I'm excited to see what more he has to bring.
