Wow what a finale!
Alder, problematic methods aside still has the best interests of everyone at heart and damn she was a badass in that fight! Loved the brutal attacks the higher level witches could do.
The biddies will always be a weakness though so was a given they would take some hits - the last thing I expected was Tally jumping in though!
That coupled with Raelle and Abigail turning into god knows what is a hell of a season ender!
Then they round it off with Raelle's mother being spree. Ahhhh! I'm so glad this show got renewed for season 2!
I'm an emotional wreck after that ending.... Like, what the fuck did I just see?
* I'm glad about Scylla, and Raelle's Mom, but feel guilty about it,
...But, WOW! I think we just saw Raelle's secret friend, "Mother Mycelium !"

I'm glad this show is returning for a second season because this season [finale] did not stick the landing.
I always hate major cliffhangers at seasons end.
They suck when a show gets cancelled and don't help the show if they don't.
I mean, after a year which it usually takes until the next season gets in (with corona probably more like 18-24 months IF that gets resolved soon in the US which it currently doesn't look like), I usually need to be reminded - no matter how hard the cliffhanger was.
Stuff like that is ok for long running shows which have already been renewed - for rookie seasons its always wrong.
Well, the show did get renewed (no surprise there), which I am very happy about.
It is proof, that its possible to make a diverse (well, at least "racially" diverse - with almost no men in the show its not really diverse regarding genders :) ) show AND have a good story to tell.
I didn't like the whole concept of giving lifeforce to someone, so they can live on and lifetime drafts which seemingly take place in this universe are slavery, even if its a different kind.
So in a way I understand the spree, although I don't understand what they are trying to gain from attacking civilians.
Don't get this wrong, it is a great story element, I just can't see them as "good guys" while doing stuff like that...
The fight in the end was very nice, although I am not interested in Tally anymore after the "choice" she made. Its sad,her romantic sidestories were good- I don't see any of those in the future.
I am very much interested in whats next for Abigail and Raelle though.
This opening season was stereotypically finicky up until the turning point at the wedding, but the story progression picked up and they firmly got the hook in. I'm still on the fence about the foot stomping and hissing and the young adult drama, but the vocalizations have been growing on me, and the unpredictability has been a pleasant surprise - I'm late to this party, but I'm looking forward to more.
Say what now :open_mouth: that was one hell of a reveal. Season 2 here I come!!!
I didn't like the ending.

Well, that was a really interesting first season!
This show proves that it is possible to tell stories about strong women of their own without genderswapping established male characters into women.
