Now , we're getting to know the hidden/missing pages between Season 1 and 2.
woah! this episode is master piece for understanding a few things from the past episodes. don't miss it
If Trump is a puppet to the chinese why do they even need Ellilot in the first place given Trump wants to burn the motherfucker( FED) to the ground? Seems like the writers could not keep their weak liberal BS out of a great show.
Trump bashing is getting old and it distracts from the story. If Hillary had won, would the writers be bashing her?
We finally learn how Tyrell survived The Big Night and what he's been doing since then, and it all makes sense, given what else we've already learned since that time. And the way that they tied the relatively distant past to both the relatively recent past and to the present was a thing of beauty and a superb example of when nonlinear storytelling is necessary in order to control when a given plot reveal -- Elliot's duality in this instance -- is actually offered up to the audience, as well as how to do it right.
Finally a parallel story of Tyrell's perspective
Not a big fan of this 100% flashback episode, though I guess it was useful to link some events in the past season. Irving is a badass character. I loved his first scene in the first episode, and he's bean great ever since.
If you pull the right strings, a puppet will dance any way you desire.

The "interview" between Tyrell and the old dude was so pathetic!!!! omfg... who in their right mind crack "under the stress" from such a stupidity of interview. Any average man would stand there for hours just answering "fuck off"... and probably days just lying .. that is if you wouldn't just tell the dude to fuck off. lol
The episode I didn’t know I needed.
This was a masterfully done recap of the previous season's events, from Tyrell's perspective, filled with a great balance of exciting and shocking moments as well as tense, slow, suspenseful moments. One of the most impressive thing about Sam Esmail's world in Mr. Robot is how many of the side characters are really deep and well done, it didn't even feel like Tyrell was a side character, but a main characters, and the story in this episode is so engaging that for the majority of the runtime I forgot that Elliot even existed.

After a second season that barely had any Tyrell, we get a full episode set between the night of the hack and Elliot getting shot. As a fan of the show, I'm very pleased that they decided to do an episode like this - we knew bits and pieces, but now we know exactly what happened between the hack and Elliot waking up on that alleyway (unless they throw something else at us, which I wouldn't put past Mr. Robot) and we have Tyrell's full perspective during all of season 2 as they did an outstanding job of showing/mentioning specific moments that allowed the audience to appreciate the passage of time perfectly.
I feel like there was a need for a Tyrell episode that was fulfilled with this one. The psychopathic weirdness of the character has been entertaining to watch, but I always felt like I never understood him. The "you're not looking at what's above you" bit was always thrown at us as the moment when the character had this "enlightenment", but this episode shows the true meaning of that: he truly believes that fate wants him as a God-like figure along with Elliot. I was also intrigued by the amount of importance the Dark Army are placing in Tyrell and by how he basically took care of Stage 2 for the most part.
This episode had a different feel to it, I like to think we were supposed to be in Tyrell's mind much like we're constantly in Elliot's mind/perspective. It felt a lot more clear, linear - Tyrell, psychopath or not, is not delusional and nor is he suffering mental issues. If anything, the editing with quick cuts at various moments could be interpreted as his frustration/rage and obsessions.
Also: I particularly enjoyed the Cisco/Darlene and then Cisco/Dark Army moment, expanding Mr. Robot's storytelling. This is how you do a meaningful flashback - reminds me of Person of Interest.
