[5.3/10] Another definitely hit or miss segment. The opening letter-writing bit was amusing, and I really enjoyed how the “Skrewballs” sketch peeled back the layers of subtext in 1970s era dating shows. And the “viewer complaints” were a nice mix of absurdity and poking fun at the cranks. There’s a lot gay humor on the show, some of which veers on the cringe-worthy, but making jokes about the titles movies is pretty tame and amusing. The Supermodel Hotline bit did a nice job of poking fun at 1-900 lines from back in the day. And hey, it’s nice to see Sarah Silverman, even if it’s for a pretty nothing part in the show.

But this had a lot of sketches that went on too long with too few laughs. The “Third Wheel Legend” bit was funny for a little bit, but died on the vine pretty quickly. And doing a Being There take on a method actor is a solid idea, but one that ran out of steam quickly. And Odenkirk as an overscheduled soul singer is a 5-second gag stretched out to a full minute,

Overall, an almost exact mix of good and bad in this one.
