This was better than the previous two episodes were, but it still felt like it was... lacking something? I don't know what. Maybe it's just a byproduct of the previous two episodes being so rushed, and this had to tie it all together before the end.
Overall, this show was fine. The first three episodes were where it shined the most. Traveling to Karachi in ep4 was cool and all, but the episodes (4 and 5) became so rushed as they were trying to squeeze in the plot. They either needed more time, or should've went with a smaller scale plot or something. Or maybe paced themselves better in the beginning. I don't know.
Fav MCU finale after Loki's, and I think overall this is my favorite series of theirs so far. There's still some dip before this, seemingly a standard signature flaw now that all their series plotting must be too busy, rushed, or contrived when nearing finales, but this is only the second time since Loki that I find them having a good landing here. Plus even through the low patches, the style and characterization have been strong.

So.... this show fell apart by the end, around the same time Thor: Love and Thunder reared its ugly head. And those two things have basically pushed me off the MCU.....
....UNTIL they uttered that single word "mutation", complete with the signature X-Men theme, in a style relevant to the instrumentation of Pakistan. I couldn't believe it, I had to reply it twice to make sure I hadn't misheard the musical cue. Damn you Marvel, I was out!
Also the post-credit is interesting.
Embiggen! Also they have changed Kamala from inhuman to a mutant which is pretty cool, especially with the xmen 97 rif playing. Then Carol in the credits, she looks so good i hope they keep that hairstyle and im so excited for the Marvels!
[8.0/10] First things first. This episode includes scenes of police restraining a mother from going to help her daughter while she’s being shot at on school grounds. After recent events, that was too much for me, and it might be for you too. There's a vague content warning at the beginning of this one, but that caught me by surprise, so if that’s something you’d need to brace for, consider this a small, extra heads-up.
All of that said, I really enjoyed this. Frankly, I wondered what Ms. Marvel was going to do after everything that went down in the last episode. I assumed that the Clan Destine were the Big Bads of the season, and with them out of the way, it wasn’t clear to me what was left to resolve in terms of threats. But the need to get Kamran to safety after he too becomes infused with Nur after his mother’s sacrifice, and the threat of a Damage Control gone rogue, provide stakes, danger, and excitement, for the season’s finale.
But beyond that, it turned out to be a really stirring affirmation of identity and community. After so much struggling as to where she fits in, Kamala finds her best self. She gets the support and admiration of her family. Aamir helps with the big mission; her dad inspires her superhero name, and her mom makes her a costume. That’s a great way to dramatize themes of familial understanding and mutual support that run through the show and help give Kamala the courage to look in the mirror and this time be happy with the person she sees staring back at her.
On the community side, it’s incredible how so many of Kamala’s friends and family come together to support her and one another through this. The leaders and parishioners of Kamala’s mosque working together to help and counsel Kamran and Bruno is a great show of community strength. The number of people who respond when Zoe sends out the call for help got me choked up. And the group blasting past the barricades and shielding Kamala was downright inspirational. This show can be a little pollyanna about things, but there's room for aspirational stories in genre fiction, and this was a moving dose of it.
That said, there were a couple things that I wasn’t crazy about. For one, the episode takes some real shortcuts in getting everything together. How Kamala found Kamran and Bruno, and more incredibly, how Zoe and Aamir joined the nascent Scooby Gang, plays as a little too easy. The same goes for the crew’s ability to withstand a bunch of armed soldier-types, which strained credulity a tad. But these are gimmes earned by the other good stuff the episode accomplishes.
My bigger problem is how rushed a lot of this feels, especially Kamran’s arc. I was glad to see that, despite being a season finale, “No Normal” was a mere 45 minutes long or so, rather than one of those bloated streaming finales that have become so common these days. But the pendulum may have swung a bit too far the other way here, since character moments and relationships are just sort of tossed out without a ton of background or time to breathe.
The worst instance of this is Kamran. He goes from being a good ally who’s just trying to get through the emergence of his new powers and make it to safety, to turning malevolent when he finds out his mother’s dead and being a threat to everyone (including Kamala), to repenting and escaping after accepting Kamala’s guidance. You can’t really cram a redemption arc into ten minutes, and I wish Kamran’s situation in particular had more time to develop and evolve.
Still, I like what Kamala says to him. “There is no normal. There's only what you do with what you’re given” is a fantastic lesson, one that dovetails nicely with her sheikh's advice that good is not something you are, but something you do. It represents some nice self-actualization for Kamala, and her reaching that epiphany and using it to help calm Kamran in an emotionally turbulent moment, having been where he is, is a great beat. I just wish they’d had more time to build to that.
There's also some tonal issues. Honestly, I really enjoyed Kamala’s scoobies pulling a Home Alone on Damage Control. Watching a “bomb” turn out to be a music player, seeing the team pelt their pursusers swith softballs, confusing them with runners all dressed the same, and dousing them in sossme instant goop is all good fun. But it’s weird to juxtapose that with officers firing guns (albeit non-lethal guns) at kids in a school, invading sacred spaces like mosques, and acting violently toward the teens when they do get a hold of them. There's a decent amount of tonal whiplash to the whole thing.
All that said, as much of a hodge-podge as all of this is, I like the climax on a thematic and emotional level. After feeling unsure about her place in the world, Kamala gets untold support from her family, her friends, and her whole community in an impossibly difficult moment. The fact that this level of mutual care and protection prompts her to spring into action to save Kamran during his own difficult moment and allows her to escape from Damage Control’s clutches, is a stirring event. And I love that things have come full circle, where she's a hero and idol to the community, much as she idolized Carol Danvers at the beginning of the show.
Overall, despite my reservations, this is a tremendously successful finale. Ms. Marvel is pretty easily my favorite Marvel show since WandaVision. To the end, it had such style, such personality, and its heart in such a good place. I’m excited about Kamala Khan as a new force in the MCU, and I’m excited to see where and how she goes from here.
Wooow! I really didn't know I would like it that much, the episode was amazing and engaging from the beginning, and it ended very well, I loved seeing Bruno and Kamran's relationship, and the origin of Kamala's name, simply gorgeous...

I think this was one of my favorite Eps, cause it's look super colorful I love some of the visual effects , and there's more action than the other eps. But my favorite about this Eps was the credit scene it was super make shocked, I really can't wait for "The Marvels".

theory about that ending: I think what happened there is as there were 2 bangles, and they found one in India, Captain Marvel just found the 2nd bangle from wherever she was in the universe then. while trying to figure it out she kind of 'activated' it, because of that both of their places got switched, either that or just their bodies got changed. which means they're in each other, either places or bodies.
I don't what come after this but if the theory turns out to be accurate, then it was very predictable.
anyways, great show. keep it up. but, it kind of felt like they tried to rush the story pretty quickly just to get done with it. It was the same kind of rushed game of throne last season. so, maybe slow down a bit next time, to appreciate the details of the story but not to slow down, a balanced kind.

The best episode of the entire season, now that's what I'm talking about, why couldn't the rest of the show run as smoothly and be as fun and super Heroey as this was.
Well we got here in the end. Speaking of it was a good ending but not a great one with the school antics making the department guys look like utter
bumbling fools.
That being said it was all very pretty at the end with the colours and all that.

And he never truly kicked off though like i thought he should have when he found out about his mother,

The Marvel grinder grinds on, consuming everything and spewing out exactly the same show/movie over and over again.
The pilot was promising, but it fell apart completely after that, with this finale far and away the worst episode of anything I've seen this year. Absolutely abhorrent.

What a snorefest was this. After a promising 1st episode, the remaining 5 episodes were rushed, poorly written and generally underwhelming. A little better than the whole Moon Knight failure, but with much less interesting characters. I don't expect a WandaVision quality in every show, but let's just hope they manage to get at least back to the level of Loki, Hawkeye or Falcon a/t Winter Soldier.
So refreshing to see a take on a superhero where the friends and families are supportive. I’m in on this character whether she’s an Inhuman, mutant, or just descended from twisted alternate dimensional adventurers.

Definetly the weakest Marvel Series so far, and by far. Personally i find the character very boring already, so it wasn't a surprise. There were only two highlights in the whole series and both where in the last 5 minutes of this last episode: the mention of her having a "mutation" (which it wouldn't be the worst idea to change her "origins" from an Inhuman to a Mutant. Besides it doesn't seem that Inhumans are going to be integrated in the MCU anytime soon besides Black Bolt's appearence in Dr. Strange 2) and the post credit scene with Cpt Marvel's cameo (and the message that Ms Marvel "would be back", something i don't think i have see in any of the previous series). This also seems to confirm that probably after Shang Chi's ending, Carol went to find out about the origins of the rings, and maybe she found out the second bandle (and that's why the swap places with KK). Besides this, is a completly forgetable series.
After the disastrous 5th episode, I was amazed by the finale. Loved the interactions, speacially Kamala's parents and Zoe! The mutant reference changes the MCU from now on and the post credit scene show Kamala's form change, a nod to her original comic powers (something to do with the Skrulls having a part in mutants creation I believe). Cant wait for The Marvels!!
Didn’t think they would actually pull a Home Alone in the finale. I guess it wasn’t for me as I felt that entire scene incredibly weak and unearned. To be fair at least the episode was better than ep3-5.
What it nailed was the CODC lady being enough of a real threat and not some throwaway villains like the Clandestines and the final conversational scene between Kamala and her father was a nice touch.
Also thank god they didn’t just pull an ok great now meet your hero in the credit scene out of nowhere and actually introduce a new plot thread with Carol.
Overall, I’ll put the series among the lower tier MCU series alongside Hawkeye & TFATWS. Probably a 6 or 7. It started strong but fizzled out since ep3 and by the time they came back from Pakinstan there’s only so much you can make do with only one episode.
I am just in utter shock. What did I just see, mainly the post credit scene where captain marvel just morphs into her super fan's room. . I am just so confused by that scene. Hopefully I'll get my answers in the next captain marvel sequel.

It's been a pretty uninspiring one for me tbh. The art style that drew me in at the start ended up being the only good thing about it. The music was terrible and the whole show wasn't really interesting to me.
Also they did somersaults trying to avoid saying inhumans earlier in the show and now they're implying she's a mutant? I had to laugh, I liked the use of the 90s Xmen theme in there.
Nice cameo by Carol at the end but damn, Brie is looking unhealthily thin. I've seen her working out a lot on Instagram but in that suit, her middle is basically non existant. Hope she's okay :/
Comparatively to other MCU Disney+ shows I thought this finale wrapped things up pretty well. But the whole thing also felt somewhat off. I don't think the DODC was set up to be all that great of a villain so they were just kind of brought in again at the end so that we could have a finale, after having been mostly absent for the last couple of episodes. They are believable as a villain that is not too overpowered and small enough for Kamala to defeat, which worked really well. But again, just not developed enough. It also feels like some of the themes they focused on in the finale were present at the start of the show but had been absent in the middle of the show so the whole episode just felt somewhat off. But I did like that we get a nice extended action scene showing off Kamala's powers in the finale without it becoming too crazy and over the top. Some of the MCU shows try to give that over the top action crazy finale when it doesn't fit the context of the rest of the show and at least here I felt like they balanced the finale spectacle without it being too much. I actually think Kamala's suit looks really good and her powers are just so unique that it's pretty refreshing to see. Overall not a bad finale but it's reminiscent of how the show as a whole struggled a little with its balance of themes throughout.
At last the name came out. No more Night Light. And Kamran in the end realized his mother had done good. Now all that is left to know is what he will be doing with the red daggers with Kareem

I’m done with these Disney products. This show had an excellent pilot, but it’s like they used most of their budget and stylistic ideas with that first episode. Such a massive drop in production and directing quality after that (though tbf: the finale wasn’t bad, which had the same directing team as the pilot). Lots of muddy cinematography, rushed vfx, weird pacing and haphazard storytelling. The cast was truly great and saved the show from becoming complete shit, but everything else feels so low effort and overly reliant on set-up/references. I’ll stick around for the projects that have people involved who know what they’re doing (James Gunn, Ryan Coogler), but Disney’s got to fix their overall quality problem. This is embarrassing and cynical; filmmaking and storytelling shouldn’t just be about creating a few short rushes of dopamine.
