It was just a premonition/random dream sequence. Or a NIGHT VISION, i guess.
When a mystery is unfolding, and gets more and more mysterious, even while holding onto the most tangible of logic or intrigue, i quickly become very excited, excited at the possibility that some great piece of writing will resolve the mystery satisfyingly, or give us a great twist or surprise at what the mystery is revealed to be. But all to often do i get the crushing disappointment such as in this episode. It was just a random dream sequence. For the first 18 MINUTES of the PILOT episode that is 22 MINUTES long. NO NO NO.
