Time travel is a popular theme that involves characters navigating time. Though many time travel films follow Adventure, the use of time travel as a narrative device can be found in many different styles and genres, such as Thriller or Action. Common concepts found in time travel films include time loops, paradoxes, time tourism, and attempts to alter the past. Time travel primarily takes place in the context of a Science Fiction or a Fantasy work, though it may not be affiliated with these genres at all.
