2 episodes in and I don't hate it!
Looking at the trailer it looked more than questionable and I just started watching because of Gina Rodriguez AND Hannah Simone but yeah.... those 2 episodes so far were not terrible. It's a really old-school format but the humor is ok and the characters are better than what the trailer might make them look like at first. I doubt that this will go past a single season but that might be fine actually.

Edit:
First season done and who would've thought this silly little show could be so good. :)
So yeah, don't be turned off by the trailer or anything, if you're in the mood for a new short and entertaining, funny show, give a few episodes of this a go, you might quite enjoy it! I know I did!

Edit2:
The show apparently has been picked up for a 2nd season! Wonder how that will pan out but now that the writer strike is also over it might even make it for a comeback next spring? We'll see.

Neat concept but too many cliches to list. It’s like they used AI to write a sitcom script as it checks all the boxes.

It’s not my cup of tea and I don’t plan to I watch the rest after a couple of episodes. it’s cute at times, but there are too many annoying supporting cast characters that bug me.

All the characters feel the same, none of them have a distinct personality, just modern boring quirks.
Everyone is accepting of everyone and everything, no judging, all rainbows and happiness. in other words, no real conflicts, no consequences.
If you're a "Jane The Virgin" fan, you might be disappointed because unlike "Jane The Virgin", this show ironically is soulless.

3 episodes in and my impression is low budget iZombie without the Zombies, brain eating and crime solving part.
Lighthearted, takes freely from many other shows that came before it, not too funny for a comedy which is always a bad sign.
The cast is very hit and miss, Rodriguez, playing the main character, seems very into this, so no complains there.
Overall not bad but I don't see why this would get more than one season and 13 episodes for a first season order is generous to begin with.

Well I made it to episode 12 and it’s still a 6/10 FAIR
It hasn’t changed since it started, so that’s not a bad thing I guess!!!!
Nell and Edward are the only two likeable characters, the rest are just horrible, shallow and straight out of the 2000 comedy stereotype handbook.
If this comes back for a second season, here’s what needs to happen……
Nell and Edward become romantically involved, she leaves the paper and starts a online obituary column.
Focus more on the person that has passed away and their story, also drop all the other characters and bring in apartment neighbours

It's a very sweet, light hearted show, I really enjoy it. There are some hilarious moments at the right times, but it's also thoughtful. It's not perfect but don't understand the negative comments. People are so jaded lately and too critical, it's overkill. I think that says more about them than the show itself. people project more and go out of their way bendimg over backwards to be negative even if there's nothing there rather than be objective and see it for what it's meant to be. it's a cute, fun escape. I love Gina Rodriguez, she's perfect for this role and most of the cast as well especially Sam Cricket and Edward. It keeps getting better the more I watch. it's just some innocent whimsical fun, get a grip people.

Not Dead Yet (2023) - :heart:x7

This is a good, fun, old-fashioned, comedy sitcom. Too bad it's already been canceled.

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

Light show to watch when you don’t want to think. The show really shines when it focus on Nell and the dead people. Edward turned out to be good surprise and matches well with her. I wish they keep them only as roommates but doesn’t look like it. Cricket is great! She, Nell and Edward are the best part of the show.
The co-workers should only show up occasionally. Nobody cares about the adoption or the daughters princess/boss birthday party. These secondary stories are boring, take too long and drag the main storyline. The boss lady is very annoying, more than when she was on Superstore. And get rid of Mason the intern, he’s unlikable and completely unnecessary.
I don’t know if the show will have a second season, many plots were left unanswered (mostly because of the coworkers ridiculous unnecessary plots) but unless this is fixed, I’ll find it hard to watch another season.

In a world of peak TV burn out, there’s this.

Is this a new and edgy comedy?
No it isn’t, it’s straight out of the 2001 handbook of how to right a comedy.
This isn’t a bad thing in any way at all, it’s a sweet little show that just helps past the time and let’s you switch off for a while…..
So let’s be happy with that and enjoy some lite hearted entertainment, without the woke PC crap most others have………
