Again, what a work on world building, design, and effects. It is very gory though, be warned.
Great concepts The river god, its back story, its powers The soldier having godly luck and then equipment to enhance it. The inclusion of supernatural force in the middle of a war zone (not new though, but nicely done).
Great designs The river god again, the moment where its building itself looked amazing. The armada in the burned guy's flashback
The burned guy make up was good too, however in this case it's clearly just a display than a part of the story, as it did not look like his wounds had been treated, and he also had a very normal voice for someone in his state.
I'm not clear how the burned guy's story exactly fits in the concept, this is a bit wonky.
And again, it's more like a trailer, an exposition, and we see nothing of the real action, too bad, but I suppose we got to get used to it, that might be a constant there. This makes it a bit disappointing of course, but we'll have to deal with it.
