"Laugh track," should be the only phrase you need to read in order to bypass this show, but I'll go a little deeper. There was not a single joke in the first episode. Every single one liner, facial tweak, come back, and tone was cliche. I looked hard, but did not find a single original idea in the first episode. The only black actors are those hired to be the relatives of the main character. There was no contention or drama in the first episode; nothing to hook an audience. The only coherent story line was resolved within 30 seconds. I love Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammar... I feel bad to see them in a show that is so bad it could have been written by the editors of TV Tropes as an introductory film class example of what not to do in your screenplays.

This is a very old school style sitcom. I don't think it was aggressively bad, it had jokes and made sense. If you enjoy these kind of multi-camera, laugh tracked, every character is a comedian style sitcoms then this one is probably pretty good.
But that ain't me.
