[7.6/10] Probably not as funny as his prior outings, but still some good stuff here. There’s some valid criticisms of the tone and structure of the film, though as has been the case with Plinkett & Co.’s more recent reviews, there’s a lot of nitpickery and criticisms that arguably apply just as much to the original Star Wars films that he treats so reverentially. (i.e., less than ideal military tactics.) He’s surprisingly sympathetic to Rian Johnson (especially compared to Lucas and Abrams), and the horror humor is thankfully a very slight part of this one. Overall, this isn’t necessarily to the standard of Plinkett’s famed prequel reviews, but there’s some definite worthy insights and critiques here, even for a movie I loved.
