Need more Travis Fimmel in my life. Dude is amazing.

Episode was pretty good and showed some potential. Nothing mindblowing yet (well except for the violence. jesus christ) but still excited for the rest. Stunning visuals tough but I guess we kinda expected that with HBO and Ridley Scott involved.

Also glad the trailers didn't even spoil that much. When I watched I thought I had seen half the show but it really was mostly just the first episode.

This is not bad! Better quality sci fi than I've seen in a while. Last sci-fi show I liked was Hulu's Utopia Falls.

Raised By Wolves (cool title) reminds me of Humans, but with filming techniques and pacing like The Martian. (I know Ridley Scott has done way more but that's the work of his I've seen...twice.)

Finally, I like the music intro. It's stuck in my head now.

So far I'm not overwhelmed by this.

Story feels forced and the actual Main Characters aren't interesting for the most part.

The only characters which are remotely interesting are Marcus and Sue - and even their story feels unreal.
I still fear this will turn into a "religion is right after all" show, although the fact that the religious ones created the Necromancers for some sort of holy war (reading between the lines here) makes me a bit hopeful.

What to me doesn't make much sense is the fact, that the religous side was seemingly technologically more advanced than the atheists - with religions animosity towards new technology and the atheists clear focus on science that seems weird.

Mother is easily my favorite character of this year, she creep the hell out of me but I'm obsessed with her!

Fascinating pilot.

I'm in for more.

Mother is a fascinating character..

At last,a good scfi series and you can't beat Ridley Scott for that.

Finally a real sci-fi show. This will make HBO Max king of streaming. Puts all the crap Netflix makes to shame.

Hmmm androids going crazy and ballistic wasn’t what I had expected to see.
I love the bones on the planet. Does this mean it’s been a planet of dragons? So wonderfully arranged in circles. Like someone already had a religion.

As perfect start to a show as there could be. Intriguing, fresh, with that 60s aesthetic and usage of practical effects - this is SF fans wet dream.
Androids really fall into that uncanny valley territory which sets the kind of creepy mood and makes everything feel a little strange and off, so all credit to the fantastic actors who play Mother and Father.
It is clear a lot of thought went into every aspect of the show. Cinematography is amazing, and there's an air of freshness in the world that's here. Ridleys directing here is his best work in a long time.
Still, there's obvious thematic and visual connection to Prometheus, and I say that as a good thing. Based on this, I would love to see Guzikowskis take on sequel to Prometheus, something that follows and expands on themes first one set up, instead of that derivative mess that was Covenant.

Stupid and easy setup for the series start, multiple logic flaws and yet again the same old story, humanity destroyed itself, in a war between science and religion, and of course the android character representing science and the human character representing religion, will clash over the children that were saved from the destruction. I knew something was going to go wrong when at the opening scene the craft the androids used to reach the planet, stopped right at the edge of a pit, after travelling billions of kilometers through the galaxy. Should have stopped watching right there.

Ridley Scott clearly recreating a very similar ambience to that of Prometheus, there's quite a chunk of that movie in this pilot episode. I love the soundtrack, it's creepily haunting, just like in Prometheus. This is only another reason for me to continue watching the series. Definitely looking forward to more!

I didn't know this was Ridley Scott... cool, but scary. Look and feel's like Prometheus, and Mother's got a bit too much David in her!

What the hell kind of future is this? An Android smoking a cigarette on another planet. Damn those fucking tobacco industry people got their dicks panted everywhere. Fuckers.

What a boring start for a tv show. Not even sure if I'll be watching the next episode. Very disappointing. Also, a lot of weird/illogical things happen.

Found the first two-thirds of the episode to quite cringe-worthy. Just something about the android characters that isn't enjoyable for me. But I started enjoying it towards the end of the episode when the humans showed up. Will keep watching to see if my feelings change.

At the moment I am not really sure about what I watched but I didn't like it very much...
Giving it a few more days to decide if I am going to watch episode 2 but, at the moment, it's a no...

Yep. The writers were definitely on acid.

An interesting premise, well executed. I’m certainly intrigued. I give this premiere episode a 7 (good) out of 10. [Apocalyptic Space SciFi Thriller]

An engrossing pilot. We see the world through the eyes of Campion, our seemingly protagonist. A world so alien, with a war of the post seem to reaching from behind, that it actually is not much forgotten as it seems to be. We were told to build a civilization anew, free from the clutch of religion that separates us in the past. But with no one else around - how? It is only Mother and Father that have sheltered us so far, androids that are completely different from us, but the closest one we can call as family - persons we trust. When someone eventually reaches us - someone human, more similar to us - they are at the same time so alien that it's hard who to trust.

This episode is a great start to open this series. The mystery, the provocation, the atmosphere - everything, even the violence. Looking forward to next episodes.

I enjoy Ridley Scott’s idea of science fiction. It is like something from the 60’s but creepier with better effects.
The only problem is, who are we supposed to root for ? I’m too scared of Mother to root for her.

[Atheists' mission fails miserably] I guess we never got past 'New Atheism' then... I blame Sam Harris. Then again, I thought New Atheism was fine with anything but Muslims?

And if the choice is between that and fucking Templars, humankind has overstayed its welcome a long time ago...

It's a good set-up so far but I'm managing expectations.
