Well that was a fun season finale. D'Arcy has the most standout moment in my opinion. When she finds out Harry is an Alien and this is the big lie that Asta has been keeping from her. She actually acknowledges that this is a big lie and it's very realistic for Asta to lie to her about it. It was extremely satisfying to see this for once even if her completely ignoring the "dinosaur", to assure her friend she gets it is hilariously unrealistic and I mean hilariously as a matter of literal not scale. It got a solid chuckle from me out loud.
There was a lot of revelations for this season finale. Which started from a pretty noteworthy premise of The Greys giving Harry a way off planet leading to Harry needing to decide what to do. The episode is arc'd perfectly ending in a lot of things that we've been hinting at coming to a head and a few things we weren't thinking about to surprise you. The only part of the episode I didn't like was the "Documentary" within the show. A bunch of people talking about being taken or seeing Aliens that connected by to Patience in the end but as a whole I don't think was worth the time.
Can't wait till next season.
Max: 'You drew a stick figure'. Harry: 'Don't bodyshame me'. This show has one or more memorable quotes every episode.
Loved this season just as much as the first. It's a comedy with a lot of heart and surprisingly well written drama.
How do they do this?!
This being the finale to season 2 does it again with 'out of this world' writing, not only the comedy level, but plot and arc just smashes everything else being developed closer to this genre!
The writer, Chris Sheridan, in my personal opinion is doing his best work in this show. And really how could he not with a cast like this. Each character fits the role perfectly and plays of each other so well.
And to top it off, it isn't just a 'comedy' but brings a fantastic platter of characters that have deep well crafted stories of their own giving the audience some beautiful moments of community, bottomless friendships that are endless in giving.
I really love this show and each actor, you can tell, loves this show.
Please don't make the wait between this season and Season 3 too long. Otherwise I'll have to get my alien family to knock on Your door! 9/10
I don't know whose idea it was to scatter the stupid "documentary" clips throughout the episode, but it was an awful idea. So very annoying!!! At least save it for the end, ugh.
So... Those "I believe" parts were weird, huh?
The season was fun, but I'm afraid they're writing themselves into a corner by raising the stakes like this. I guess we'll see...
This season wasn’t for me, I liked the first season because it was a fun small town chaos experience. I feel with this season finale setup they’re trying to make the stakes even higher and the next season will be even more boring ass alien drama, I’ll stop watching this show here.
