Why is the war that Archie and Eric fought in, which would be in 2010s/20s, just a World War II Saving Private Ryan rip-off? It completely undercuts any kind of message they're trying to give because of how absurd it is.
This "she-wolf of Wall Street" shit is so cringe. Veronica was a jewelry store clerk, how exactly is that being a wolf of Wall Street? And what are they even getting these people to invest in? They never explain that. That one guy Veronica called up immediately accepted her claim that SoDale was scam, even though she has zero proof. She is a complete stranger to the guy, yet he instantly believes her "trust me bro" speech. So fucking stupid.
Of course the dumb Coyote Ugly shit works instantly. Yeah, a guy who kidnaps prostitutes to murder them would totally be interested in going to a bar where girls are dancing completely clothed and are not offering sex. Yep. That is exactly how that would work and is not completely dumb at all.
This season has just been the writers lazily ripping off other properties to a ridiculous degree. Don't get me wrong, the show has always done that, but it's never been as blatant as it is now. They even shamelessly say how they're ripping off Coyote Ugly by its name in this episode.
