Definitely lives up to the title, and one I vividly remember from when I watched this in the 90s. Beautifully directed by Kounosuke Uda (Rainbow Fireflies), I especially love how it opens with a lot of gag humor to make the sudden turn to a string of tragic sacrifices more jarring, which then continues to escalate, overwhelming Usagi until she rallies for the final battle. A deeply moving penultimate episode.

Plodding through first two seasons of Crystal and couldn't help but think of this episode so had to rewatch it. God this was brutal and badass. All the inners dying for Usagi without hesitation. Truly next level. Especially Mars.
