The season finale is satisfying, if rushed. All the loose ends wrap up a bit too neatly, but Keegan-Michael Key, Cecily Strong, and Ariana DeBose sell it with their earnest performances.

Keegan's shaky and out-of-tune a cappella is both vulnerable and brave, easily the highlight of this episode. Josh and Melissa's amateur take on La La Land style dance is also cute if somewhat overdrawn.

This freshman season successfully delivered their high concept ideas. Perhaps the next season will explores some new territories (perhaps edgier modern musicals like Hamilton)?

Probably the weakest episode, together with the previous one. Looks like they run out of ideas and rush to finish. Very predictable open ending.
Overall it’s still an innovative and very enjoyable show, with great performances
But for a second season they definitely need fresh ideas.

I had a feeling Josh would be left with no choice but to give in and sing. I ain’t even mad about the open-ending, and I can’t wait to see what they could tackle next in a future season.

Cute show enjoyed it for the most part. Good ending and loved the final number it reminded me of Rent and probably the end of every modern day Broadway musical lol
