They've been having variations of the same conversation pretty much this whole time (the first episode is probably the only exception and 13 1-hour episodes is a LONG TIME).
They've managed to annoy the crap out of me, and at this point I sincerely hope they stay broken up. As it stands, their relationship is just toxic. They both want different things and can't seem to compromise, and in the meantime, they only keep hurting each other. She wants her independence and he wants someone to smother in love. They're fundamentally not compatible. I really hope the show takes the mature way out and acknowledges that sometimes, no matter how much you love someone, things are simply not meant to be.
