I felt so bad for Eric... Being alone, like that, on his birthday, and then getting punched in the face and spit on for being gay. Homophobia is a disgusting disease. And then that caused a fallout between him and Otis, and those guys were thick as thieves! I really hope they can talk about it and make amends, soon.
We had Violent Femmes and INXS in this episode, this show's soundtrack is truly a delight!
Nice Dead Poets Society moment at the end, after a harsh episode, I feel that scene truly lifted everyone's spirit (the characters' and ours).
#itsmyvagina
This has some big names in it; Gillian Anderson and Joe Carroll from The Following. Too bad Carroll doesn't have a larger role. I want to see more from him than the occasional Skype with his son.
The dad has a point about his kid needing to toughen up. The dad isn't as anti-gay or anti-drag as was initially shown; he just doesn't want his son to experience a more difficult life.
eric was supposed to have the best birthday with otis, but instead he got the worst birthday ever :(( i cant believe otis. also wow the last scene was great!!
More than halfway through, and I'm still not sure why everyone dresses like they're in the eighties, when it's very clear the show is actually set on modern times because of the technology.

Top 10 ICONIC TV moments
Poor Eric Otis is such an IDIOT!
still not forgiving otis for what he did and said to eric
haven't cried this much in an episode of anything in a while, than I did when the eric thing happened. and the ending warmed my heart <3
I did not expect to be so touched by this series but this last bit really made me cry.
This series is something else, it depicts and normalizes internal, relational, personal struggles like few else.
The lead up to the ending was outstanding and I love how the characters get more well rounded with each episode
Such a good episode. I loved seeing Jackson and Maeve become more close as they opened up to eachother in Maeve's home, with Maeve revealing her shitty parents to Jackson and Jackson rvealing how he struggles with anxiety and feeling like the glue thats preventing his parents from divorcing rather than just being this perfect kid with a perfect life, it was a heartwarming scene to see, especially since Jackson is the first person we've seen invite into her trailer home. It sucks the parents dinner went badly but in the end it turneed out good with that scene tightening their relationship. We also got a cute moment between Meave and Otis, as they were walking home after successfully catching who spread the vagina pic, with a near kiss, but my guy Otis had to fuck it up by yelling he's a virgin. Also, Im glad we saw more of Maeve's character, how she isnt just tthis constant asshole but will actually go out of her way to help others with no self-benefits, as with when she helped Ruby in catching the puussy perputrator because Maeve doesnt want anyone, even Ruby whose been a bitch to her, to have to experience constantly being slut-shamed over a rumor/image being spread. Maeve deep down actually does seem to be a kind hearted person when it counts. Aimee, like usual, is being pushed around by her "friends" and just accepting their demands, without really having a care abotu what she wants to do, as shown when that brawny neard asked her what she wants to do post-high school and Aimee had no response. I hope that buff guy and Aimee get closer, it would be nice for Aimee to have another person in her life who doesnt just use her all the time. Also, this was a painful episode too, with regards to Eric. The guy just wanted a birthday celebration with his best friend, but after Otis cancelled and Eric had to go back home, he was robbed and beat up, sadly Eric's father was right this time about being worried about his safety as he wore that outfit. More on his dad, I undertsand where he's coming from with the toguhen up comment, saying that people are going to treat him liek shit because of his lifestyle and he need sto be able to persevere through that, but I wish him and Eric could see more eye to eye. The confrontation betwene Eric and Otis was the most painful part of this episode for me though, throughout the seires theyve been shown to have this unbreakable bond as friends, but because Otis left Eric behind on his birthday, and what happened to Eric as he was alone dressed like that, it damaged their relationship as friends. Even though I get why Otis stayed with Maeve, and he wasnt really thinking about the potiental danger Eric could be in dressed liek that alone in public, I have to side with Eric's anger this time, I get why he feels that Otis has no real regard for him, especially when initally Otis was just talking about his special moment with Maevve when he met Eric back at home, but I just wish this confrontation didnt end their friendship. The "No, I'm Spartacus" style ending was nice though, with everyone supproting Ruby regarding the vagina photo incident. Solid episode through and through, acting, music, dialogue, etc were solid as usual too.
I don't believe Otis so stupid. poor Eric.
Moving episode of the show...
Ending waa top of everything
Felt this episode was really deep and dark within the series confines. Had tears welling up at the end cause it felt so wholesome save for Eric’s situation.
This episode was a bit slower and much darker so I didn't like it as much but maybe I should give it also 9/10 because it's important.
Anyway, that RPG/DnD scene was funny :D
I feel like Eric has a kind dad that is just scared.
Those two guys at the bus stop instantly triggered me of of prejudice but I was so happy and relieved when they turned out to be fine.
I never really noticed it until the loud monologue but Maeve's accent is kinda cool.
That "study guy" is cool xD "Sorry, I get a bit lost in math sometimes." <3
Eric does look pretty. Sucks that his coat was stolen. He shouldn't have left it there though if his wallet and phone is in it (not trying to blame him, we all regularly make mistakes, but I'd avoid risking it - but then again I'm pretty paranoid in general :o :D).
Maeve starts having a bad influence on Otis. I didn't like it at all that she made him steal something. That's not cool and not something a good friend does! I barely could look at it... :o And Ola being there made it so much worse even though she also saved Otis. But I would've insisted on paying for it plus a generous donation. I'd be so embarrassed!!! IIRC I've never stolen in a shop although I'm pretty sure I kinda stole a few other things (definitely not proud of it! but I have quite a few regrets from my childhood/youth). Anyway, I'm glad that it worked out fine. Although I'd be super embarrassed every time I'd see Ola.
And Maeve and Otis almost had a moment! Otis did so ruin it with "I'm a virgin!". OMG! I think I jumped a bit in my seat. That was so bad/embarrassing that I had to pause for a moment. Maeve handled it well ("no judgement") but even Otis shouldn't react/"improvise"/panic that poorly... :o
And last but not least some serious words by Eric's father: "If you're going to live like this you have to toughen up." I guess that's unfortunately true, at least in this TV show, but I wish it weren't. I'd say it was a nice reacting by his father though. Not as nice as comforting him but it could've been so much worse IMO (it's a super uncomfortable situation and I can understand that Eric called Jean instead). I really hope Eric will be fine and come out stronger!
Feels a bit like American Vandal for an ep but it really fits perfectly. Added a lot of good conflict too.

I can't believe Otis had the audacity of calling Eric selfish... Dude, it was his birthday, you were supposed to be celebrating it with him
