Time was that I couldn't wait to see what new low they could find for Frank to stoop to, and how the family coped. Now that the writers are just rolling along with the current political focus, can't bear to watch. Looking to me like it's over.

So far Lip's story is the one I care the most about and the one story that actually makes me emotional.
It's not smart and not even right to pay off Xan's mother, but the reason for doing so makes complete sense to me. And it really broke my heart that Xan's mother was apparently ready to take the money. The ending with the music and Lip looking heart-broken made me really emotional. I actually hope the storyline is not just over. There are too many storylines in Shameless recently that just get cut off and lead to nothing.
I always thought Carl fits really well into the military school and was hoping for him to rise to the top there, but right now it feels like they might change his story. I just hope it won't end up with him dropping out of school and having no perspective. It was really nice to see him growing up and having a goal and finding something he's good at. As far as I know it's not sure yet if we'll get season 10, so I think it would be stupid to cut off his military story line. Really hope they won't do this.
