Really fun beginning! Although I think the narrative could be a little bit more challenging, I loved most of the twists and character's development. I guess every first season of an epic story has its drags, especially in stablishing relations between the characters and in building up the background for the story to continue. I really enjoyed it!
One of the things that I particularly liked was the environmental issue, I think the writers are working really great with making it a kids' show with mature themes without being boring or too didactic. The same goes for representativeness - it's not that they are queer, women, POC etc, they are well written characters in a diverse sample. Very interesting to see it, especially when many shows are doing representativeness for representativeness sake and don't work on it too hard. Most of the shows are "ok, here you go, black woman, asian guy, fat girl! check check check we're such good people" (sorry if this is somehow prejudiced). And in this case you have real characters that work within the show, within the development of the story as being part of it not being "included" in it.

If She-Ra Season 1's substance (logic, internal struggles, and clarity) was as strong as its texture (dialogue, character designs, and interactions) then I'd recommend this season. But with such a lacklustre season finale, I don't recommend it.

SCORE: 6/10
