It was so cruel of the writers to have Clark kill Martha’s son!! that was awful, and I don’t see the Kent’s, as a family, recovering from that.

Poor Kents! i was so excited about the prospect of Martha having a kid. It was heartbreaking.
Now Clark deciding to wear the red kriptonite was so stupid.
And what is going on with Lex!?!??! How did that happen?? Really curious about this cliffhanger

This episode was so frustrating and stupid in so many ways (seriously, did the writers just get together and decide "today we're going to ruin Clark Kent's life by turning him into an idiot"?), so it feels almost wrong to complain about something so small that was obviously done for dramatic effect, but it makes no sense why the red Kryptonite would only start affecting Clark once he put on the ring.
