Trey Parker has superb musical talents, as he's shown time and time again. Making this episode a showcase of the series' bent take on Christmas and the holiday season in general was a great way to harness that talent in a gross but hilarious festive environment. From the Rankin-Bass throwback of Mr Hankey's introductory song, to the all-too-catchy dreidel melody, to the comedic discord of X-mas in Hell, to Mr. Garrison's war on non-Christmas, to Santa and Jesus's night club act, there were creative takes on almost every aspect of the holiday season. The songs can stand on their own, but there was also more visual creativity in the staging of the numbers than the show usually musters, which was an added bonus. South Park is often at it's best when it's making some kind of point, or shining a satirical light on some facet of our culture, but here, it hits near-peak comedy and entertainment by just having fun and showing Parker & Stone's talents as hilarious songsmiths.

As a Muslim I find it okay to troll Arabs but to troll our prophet and holy book is really offensive and this show crossed the line.

My annual Xmas tradition is watching this, then sharing The Most Offensive Song In The World with a fellow fan who I first introduced to SP in 1999

:musical_score:“... Courtney Cox, I love you.
You’re so hot on that show...” :musical_note:
