[5.3/10] If season 1 of Ewoks was for ten-year-olds, season 2 seems to be for five-year-olds. Everything has been dumbed down and made broader to a ridiculous degree. The prior season had its share of slapstick and goofy business, but took itself and its characters mildly seriously. This has turned into dull, generic pablum.

The best thing to say for the episode is that it’s relatable for kids to get tired of chores and decide they want to go out on their own. (I tried to do the same as a tyke, and had about as much success as Wicket.) Plus, Larry the furry, three-eyed cautionary tale who ran away and regretted losing his family has a fun design and vocal performance.

Otherwise, this is junk. The moral is extremely didactic. The slapstick and odd couple routine with Wicket and Teebo is stupid. It’s okay to have television shows aimed at little kids, of course, but they still deserve better than this.
