7.5/10. Not quite as good as the last one, but still lots of good stuff. I liked the parallels between Ahsoka and Ventress, a pair of force-sensitive types who cannot trust the people who trained them. The mystery element of it fell a bit flat for me, if only because I was spoiled on who the mystery man is here. (Though I'll say that the episode gives some pretty strong hints as to who it is in this one.) But I do appreciate the conflict of Ahsoka not being able to trust the people she cares the most for, and her confidantes not being sure whether or not she's only feigning innocence.
The action was quite good, though not superlative like in the prior episode. The subway chase had a lot of creative cinematography and choreography that help convey the kinetic nature of Ahsoka being pursued. Similarly, there was something fist-pumpingly cool about Ahsoka and Ventress using their Jedi Kung Fu to take out an entire squad of clone troopers. The lightsaber fight between Ahsoka and the mysterious sabateur wasn't as cool as some of the other one-on-one battles in recent weeks, but it had its moments.
On the whole, it's hard for me to tell whether I'm not as into this storyline simply because I know (at least roughly) how it ends, so there's not the sort of tension and intrigue necessary to match the Hitchcock vibe the show is going for here. I like the conflict at the center of this story--whether Ahsoka and the Jedi can trust one another despite some rough evidence. And I like the connection drawn between Ahsoka and Ventress. But the larger mystery of the episode still underwhelms me a bit. Onto the season finale!
