Pretty great episode. Again the direction stands out, as the way the camera kept track of the action on the steps of the palace (GoT riff?) and the suspense of the ray shield guillotine came of really well. I especially loved how the main characters in the episodes were struggling with how to be true to their cause. Ahsoka wanted to help the rebels, but by obeying the Anakin-ordered prime directive here, she lets the Ondoranian general flip sides and gain the people's support. The general himself had a great scene with Saw Guerrera, where the two of them hashed out the idea of what loyalty to the people means, and while it was telegraphed, his flip to the rebel side was thrilling. And Steela is dealing with the burden of command, and balancing doing right by her compatriots (with the loss of red shirt lives that came with it) with trying to earn the trust of the people. Even the old king talks about these ideas. Melding some legitimate thematic depth with some very well staged and choreographed action is a great way for Clone Wars to go.
