What is Starship Republic? Starship Republic is a Star Trek fan film production aimed at recapturing the excitement and morality of Gene Roddenberry's original vision tackling many of the same issues that were examined in the Original Series -- war, racial divide, corruption, disease -- and explore how far or how little we've come. The twist is we are filming this as modern-day drama using new techniques and technology to create a cinematic stand-alone production that is set in TOS.
