I'm pretty sure this episode is the turning point for Okabe, since everyone was pretty much fed up with his sh*t.
Even Mayuri couldn't handle it anymore and just broke in front of Okabe. It was heartbreaking to see her cry and think, that she is the problem all together. That she should have died instead of Kurisu.
She even remembers that more people should be in the lab. That means she does have some kind of reading steiner.
