The introduction of the legendary Cody. While Sasha Mitchell and Staci Keenan absolutely have the chemistry to be foils given their stellar deliveries and comic timing, adding an unrequited love/hate romance to their dynamic is ooky given they're now family. Which is also echoed in Penny's molesting of Frank during, oddly, the biggest laugh of the anniversary plot thread. It's still entertaining stuff with zingers and bounce, even if you're sideeying things and wondering just how anime this mixed household is going to get. As for the C plot, I like that they've found a shared interested of baseball between Mark and Al (and I guess Brendan is there too), with her love of the game and his encyclopedic knowledge of stats and trivia. Some fun is had at the constant quizzing, but I feel an opportunity was missed for it to develop an actual bond between them.
