Six episodes of slow, masterful buildup and then three fucking masterpieces.
Literally nothing exciting in this season except for the last 15 mins of the last episode of this season.
So freaking boring.
Chiz is putting on the weight, eh? Wondering why they dress her in unflattering outfits …
Succession is a strange show.
Sometimes you watch it and it's pretty good and the next moment it's childish, badly written and just crap, then it's OK again.
Not 100% sold on it going into the 3rd season. Episode 1 is a mess.
NONE of the characters are the type of people you'd want to sit down and have a cup of coffee with, let alone spend any amount of time with.
Not sure how long I'll watch this season - it's hanging in the balance right now - 4/10
Season 3. And frankly, it’s just more of the same childish bickering between incompetent entitled juvenile delinquents who want to get their hands in their daddy’s toy and don’t want to share it even for a second - and a father who can manipulate his kids just by blowing hot or cold, sometimes within the same sentence. This series has passed it’s sell-by date.
Season 3 Score: 9.3/10
This show gets better and better with each season. While I wasn't crazy about the decision to pit Kendall against Logan and the family again as it felt like somewhat of a step backward for his character, they take things to a whole new level of crazy with him this season. He is legit unhinged, and it was painful to watch at times but man was it so enthralling. This is the most mean-spirited the show has been yet. These characters are so incredibly nasty to each other and do things to each other that make it seem like there is no chance for reconciliation whatsoever. Which for me, is what makes the finale so powerful as we see Roman and Shiv's support for Kendall come through when he reaches his breaking point, and all three of them come together under one unified goal. It shows that no matter how destructive and awful they are to each other, they still do care about each other at the end of the day. Beyond this, the writing in this season reached an all-time peak. I don't know if I've seen a better combination of writing, dialogue, and line delivery in a TV show before. Almost every single conversation was so infectious. As we get more time with the characters and their relationships with one another, they only become stronger and I found myself enjoying almost every character interaction this season. That being said, I do think it struggles a little bit to balance its themes this season. We get so much Kendall absurdity and family hostility for most of the season, but the final few episodes focused more in on the business side of things. It felt just a tad bit choppy in that regard, but this season still hit all the major character beats it felt like it needed to and the ending of the last episode took things in a direction I did not expect in the best way. The writing just continues to improve with this show which is such an accomplishment. Pair that with the phenomenal performances, direction, really great comedy, and infectious characters, this is amazing TV.

The most grotesque aspect of "Succession" is the characters' inability to break their bad habits and cut ties with their abusive family relationships. Although one could argue that it's basically the same dynamics repeating themselves, we are getting deeper and deeper into the mud each time. The fact that the big corporations always get an easy way out and win the game also felt realistic. For how much I hated Logan in the last couple of seasons, the siblings equally deserved their misery. Someone has to teach them a lesson. While Shiv and Roman have been unlikeable from day one, Kendall has been the most painful to watch as he descended his downward spiral.
On the contrary, Tom is finally starting to show some potential. We've seen him acting like a complete idiot for entire seasons and suddenly waking up every time the finale comes on, but he's finally starting to become one of the main players in the events to come.
Maybe this season isn't as good as season 2, but someone on the comments of this page said it's childish and badly written and that is just not true. This show has better writting than the last 10 tv shows I've watched, even when it's not as good.

This season wasn't as good as season 2, though to be fair, that was a really hard season to outshine. Still fantastic television, and perhaps the best show on TV right now.
