Oh, c'mon Kara, we all know you're into him!
Also, a Winn/Mon-El bromance? Yes, please!
Loved the episode. One of the best this season. Kara and her feelings about what it means to be a superhero. That's it! I really loved John scenes today. All the Martian episodes are great and this one was no different. M'gaan and John are amazing together and that bond was fantastic. Made me remember of the psychics who isolate themselves to find peace.
"Bad science man", "I am the other Superman", is it me or Mon-El is becoming one of the best characters on the show? I can't tell you how much arrogance there is in that sentence, and how much it fits his personality. And his awkwardness makes me laugh every time. And the villain was British (again). This is a rule. Never trust a British accent in an American show. I love Livewire being Kara's archenemy (if it's possible) and making her the victim was such a nice twist.
And I'm getting really tired of James trying to prove he's a hero. All he has a a serious hero complex. You've been with both Superman and Supergirl and you want to prove you're useful, but you're not James. Please, stop it. Nothing you'll do will make me change my opinion about you. Besides, the way he treats Mon-El is pretty shifty. It's really impossible to like his character. I think we all like Mon-El, the problem is that we don't want him as a romantic partner for Kara.
And Kara was extremely arrogant this episode. This has to be the first episode in which she's not been that adorable alien puppy she always is. I think she's channelling her own Oliver. And did she forget about him? I mean, "you need powers to be a superhero", come on, Kara some weeks ago your were fighting aliens alongside the Green Arrow. Saying that is just being a hypocrite.
And when Kara took James mask off!! Oh come on, you're going against the rules Kara. A superhero never unmask another superhero-ish. That's not fair.
Anyways, I'm looking forward for the White Martians. And James, please, stop bitching about everything, Kara could hurt you without breaking a sweat
Give M'gann more screentime 2k17. She's such a fascinating character and her relationship with J'onn is incredible. She should appear way more often. Same goes for Maggie, whose lack of storylines makes me even angrier because she's a main character. Maybe if they focused less on a certain fuckboy, we could get more of these two kickass women.
The White Martians are coming! I'm so excited!
Livewire is a great villain, and I enjoy her role as Kara's recurring nemesis. I also thought it was a clever plot twist to make her a victim in this episode. And there was yet another evil British scientist. What is it about Brits that makes Americans constantly cast them as bad guys? It's a mystery to me.
Kara finally knows that James is Guardian. There were obvious parallels between them in this episode - they both told the other that they don't get to decide who becomes a hero, and they were both pretty hypocritical about it. I guess I understand Kara's point of view - Lord knows she's lost enough people and she just wants to protect her friends, but James and Winn are also kind of right?
Winn continues to be the funniest character on the show. Jeremy Jordan's comedic timing is impeccable. And his face when Team Guardian got Space Dad's official seal of approval? Priceless. I love my reckless children throwing themselves into danger while yelling YOLO and their exasperated Martian father shaking his head in the background.
I hope we'll get more Kara/Alex/Maggie scenes. I love the three of them so much.
I wanted to see Alex and Maggie eat vegan ice cream (which sounds super gross, by the way, go cow or go home), but no. No, instead I had to suffer through two minutes of Mon-El making sad puppy dog eyes at Kara and acting all sweet so that we'll believe what a good guy he is for her. At least she rejected him for now, but I'm willing to bet my right hand that it's just temporary and eventually she'll give in to his "charms". Kara, honey. You deserve so much better. Why can't the writers see that?
Been stewing on it for weeks/months. I just don't like Mon-El. The only guy that's right for Kara is me :)
Really annoyed at Kara's moral high ground on who can or cannot be a hero...Yes, she doesn't want James and Winn being hero's because they may get hurt. So instead of working with them to insure that doesn't happen, she decides to NOT work with them. Smart play Supergirl...that ought to teach them and make them stop (yes, that was sarcasm)
Ugh Mon-El & Kara need to get together asap
Not as good as the rest of the season, kinda lazy writing, just brought an old villain back, revealed guardians identity to Kara and let that pan out, and teased mon-el and Kara relationship, some of it was nice to see but too easy. Wasn’t that good.
Having met Arrow and other heroes in the parallel earth, Supergirl should know that it is not powers that make a hero. While James and Winn are somewhat reckless, they are trying to do the right thing. Too bad James and Winn don't live on the Arrowverse earth, they could join Team Arrow.
Ummm Supergirl is maturing, those 2 decisions did not expect them
Ha, superhero poser James poking fun at Mon-El who has powers, for wanting to be a superhero. Says Mon-El is selfish and only cares about himself. Coming from the guy who only shows to work to talk about Guardian.
He has Cat's job but only calls Kara into his office to...talk about Guardian. As well as all the Guardian bragging at work. If he only cares about being a hero, why can't we just get Cat back ? We need a episode where he runs that place into the ground. Would be realistic since he's a horrible boss.

James: 'You don't get to decide who's a hero.'
Also James: 'Mon-El isn't a hero.'
Fuck you, James with your arrogant bullshit. Why are you still on my screen?
Loved the Kara/Maggie/Alex scenes this week, enjoying their dynamics. Also really liked the flip of Livewire being a victim and the idea of her being an ongoing nemesis for Supergirl.
The Mars flashbacks/revelations were powerful and really like the friendship forming between J'onn and M'gann.
And the less said about the cliché romance 'building' with Bore-El. The better.
