Her daughter reminds me of Smallville Lana 100% though. Dating the biggest Asshole in town and defending him because "he can be sweet".

I really like the family closeness even in the difficult situations.
However, Lang’s basic misunderstanding of economics was infuriating. Yes, “big corporations are bad because they don’t pay a ‘living wage’” is a trope that has been used way too much. I think unemployed people welcome a job that can grow a small town’s economy until new business come and wages go up.
So I see we aren't going to get great script-writing. We're not going to get the genuine chemistry of L&C. We have a decent Clark in Tyler and a poor casting in Elizabeth as Lois. We have the usual rabid pace of a CW production that returns to tiresome action as part of the same episode outline each time... I can live with all that and I'm willing to see how it develops. Only... ONLY... if you avoid the cardinal sin of inconsistent powers. I cannot watch another Supergirl - she's faster than a speeding bullet but taking off anyone can grab her foot and pull her back down. She can fly around the world in seconds but cannot make it across the room in time to stop an attack... Let's hope they have learnt for this one.
Yeah, OK, we get it: only one of the kids has super powers for now, ... but why fucking exclude him from the whole "Trip down family history lane", he's still your kid Superman, Jesus. Way to divide the family.
I'm really trying, but I just can't seem to get invested in this story or the characters. And the actor choice for Superman still really bothers me. I can't see him as Clark Kent.
i knew something was going on with morgan edge. this feels so much like a classic superhero movie but in a television series form. i love it.
interesting things are going on with the sons (one of which has powers) and the other doesn't, for now at least. i think this is going to develop as the series continues. i like clark's response to them when he knows he's wrong and he just admits he was wrong and apologizes. A+ parenting.

Lex’s story line is really stupid. Just because one version of Superman acted certain way doesn’t mean another version in another dimension would act the same. He’s smart enough to come to this earth but to fucking stupid to realize that simple fact. This is lazy writing. Typical CW crappy writing staff. Why does DC Comics keep giving their license to such shitty creators?

Not a big fan of the casting nor the writing.. I give it a 7 for the effort and hopefully not a 6 for upcoming episodes.

So, I’ll weigh in here with a guess that the twins actually do have powers (both of them) but only in a synergistic/cooperative way -- shared powers between them. Both the falling metal bars and the party were incidents where they were in shared jeopardy. When Jordan was at the fortress he was there without his brother, and so his powers weren’t manifest. (Wonder twin powers, activate!)
