[6.0/10] Wow, what the hell was that? I mean, this episode is watchable, which is something, and I’m inclined to appreciate some Silver Age-type goofiness, but this one just felt dumb. I can get the S:TAS team wanting to do a riff on King Kong, but this...wasn’t a good one.

There is admittedly something cute about seeing toddler Lois, and her affection for Titano even as a big monkey is kind of sweet. But the whole notion of an ape sent to space who comes back and starts growing huge is ridiculous even for the outsized confines of this show. There’s a few good setups, but the show can’t even really pull any memorable sequences out of it, as even Titano traipsing through a carnival is pretty mild.

There’s something solid at least about the idea that Lois needs to play the song from Titano’s favorite toy to soothe him long enough that animal control or whatever can gas him. Still, for the most part, this is just one long ape fight without enough to hold the audience’s attention through it. Definitely one you can safely skip.

Young Lois Lane's voice sounded familiar, I looked it up and it was an early role of the voice actress who would later play Katara on Avatar: The Last Airbender and Amity on The Owl House.

Sadly the episode itself is pretty weak, even starting with questions like "wait why did the space program let one of their guys bring the monkey home" and later "why did the scientist send the random money that's been in space home with Lois?" The show makes zero effort to answer these questions, instead just... making the monkey grow because the writers wanted to do a King Kong story I guess?

Fun episode.. At least now we know where Kong came from. Well, I guess like the 3rd generation Kong. Hahahha
