Awesome episode. It started slowly but picked up suddenly. I certainly enjoyed. And I've got to say it, I love the camera work in the past few episodes. This second half of the season is certainly amazing.
I'm so upset that the Alpha Vamp is gone. There are a few supernatural beings that give me the screeps when they are on scene and he was certainly one of them.
The beginning of the episode was heartbreaking. If this show is something it's about family and not leaving anyone behind. And apparently, Mary doesn't get it. I think I'll never be able to understand her thought process. For God's sake, those guys tortured your boys let along that almost got Cas killed.
In 12 years, I've cried, smiled, suffered and enjoyed. I've watch them care for Mary, miss her every single day, especially Dean, and for once that Dean's allowed to express his feelings and emotions Mary shuts him down by saying "You're not a kid". That quote alone with Dean's answer "I never was" destroyed me. Holy crap, that was cold Mary. Dean's mentioned over and over again that he wants a mother. I totally understand Dean's feelings. As me, he's expecting Mary to be something else,to be a mom, the perfection we all though she was,but she isn't no longer, and it is difficult to swallow.
I liked Dean and Mr Ketch teamup. At the beginning of the season Ketch was set up to be one thing and even though he's not evolving so much, he's becoming someone else. Idk, his line "we have ways of dealing with hunters who go rogue" has to be a foreshadowing, not to say a threat. At first I thought he was above the BMoL and that his whole purpose was to eliminate Sam and Dean, but now, I'm not that sure. At the end of the day he's a hunter. I feel like he's going to be on Dean's side and will disengage from the BMoL.
STOP TRUSTING THE BRITISH im 80% convinced that they just sent her to get the answers any way possible (including w torture) and then when that didn't work out they pulled her out and told them they were "punishing" her (she's just out of the way of them now) and now they're gonna get the stuff they wanted from the start through befriending them. this is NOT going to end well in any way
It's funny how in the earlier seasons the Vampires could smell and hear things from a great distance.
But now they have been dumbed down so much that they cannot even smell someone sneaking up on them.
This includes the alpha.
Another stellar episode. Kudos to all involved for the best season of Supernatural in years!.
A very well written episode. I like how "things" got connected in such a way so they appealed to the geek tech side of Sam and completely separate the go in full headed no thought of Dean. And than at the end reunited again. What i will probably hate is the never ending whining of Sam trying to convince Dean and Dean saying no just in principle....Where At the end we will discover that Dean was right.
Stillll wondering if their half brother is still in that chase
Really truly a tragedy.
Of all the big bad monsters I really liked the Alpha Vampire the most. Every time he comes on-screen I get the heebie-jeebies. Rick Worthy has done a great job playing this character over the years and I'm sad to see him go, especially in such an icky death. Anything the Men of Letters is involved in gives me the ick.
Otherwise, great episode. Had me sitting on the edge of my seat with that attack on the complex. Part of me was hoping they were all going to die except the Winchesters and everybody would be on with their life. Sam should have stuck to that deal.
Another stellar episode. Kudos to all involved for the best season of Supernatural in years!

"I'm in" angrily flips table I didn't expect it. I actually bought his "picking a side" speech and then he picks the other side. 12 seasons and the lies continue. Sam doesn't realize Dean's the only one who will always be there for him. Mary's his mother but she's lied to them for months. She loves them, I'm sure she does, but she clearly manipulated him to get to that place. At this point, Sam knows he can't have a normal life, and he can't live without Dean not to say to stop hunting. This is their lives and there's no going back to a "normal apple-pie life". How many times is he going to side against Dean? Mary is just like Samuel working with Crowley. Besides, Sam has first hand experience and has seen how incompetent they are. They just got toys (very cool btw), but not the infield experience.
The minute that traitor stepped in my first thought were "this man can't be trusted". I'm sorry for the other two guys, they were so clever a d I kinda liked it.
I can't wait to see next episodes of this amazing season.
