Fiji was a GREAT season! There were definitely a lot of twists in this season, and from the outset Moto was so heavily advantaged that it was interesting to see how Ravu dealt with the hardships. There were a lot of iconic characters as well, with a lot of special moments from them, making it highly entertaining to watch from start to finish. All in all, great gameplay and strategy were used, especially with the hidden immunity idols. AND NEVER TRUST DREAMZ HERD.
Extremely underrated. Had a SHITTY twist that fucked over A TON of people, but it was still great. The Downfall of The Four Horsemen (or the Three Horsemen + Dreamz) was hilarious. Earl played a criminally underrated game. Dreamz and the car deal was also wildly entertaining.

This season is an interesting one. Nothing about it says its "bad", and frankly there's nothing wrong with this season (maybe that just shows that even "bad" Survivor is still enjoyable). Sure there's a few too many quirky twists that largely flopped (we are talking about you Have and Have-Nots), but nothing made this a particularly bad season. A good guy, who was a deserving winner of the final three, won the game. Unfortunately, nothing was really memorable in a good way. There was a bunch of characters where nobody really stood out and I wasn't really rooting hard for anybody along the way. I suppose (if I had to choose) I favored Yau-Man for the majority of the game, with the most memorable part of the season coming from Dreamz going back on his deal with Yau-Man at final four to knock him out of the game. And to me, it seemed like Earl (the winner) was hiding in the shadow of Yau-Man the whole game. And then there was a bunch of meat shields and targets that just let Earl coast for being a good guy. I think it speaks volumes about the season considering Earl never won an individual immunity challenge, was sent to Exile Island FOUR times and only ever got one hidden immunity idol with the help of Yau-Man,..... and then became the first ever unanimous winner even though there were two other people to vote for. Like really?!? He was the only one deserving of any votes and he did nothing to get himself to final three, Yau-Man was just a bigger target at final four so they had to vote him out. (FUN FACT- Earl was originally cast for the Amazing Race and when his partner fell through, CBS switched him over to Survivor only THREE days before the show started and he had only ever seen one episode of the show. So that further explains his lack of having much strategy.) In a show that has seen so much great strategy and challenge beasts since Season 5, it's weird to see someone win (not to mention in landslide fashion) for just being a good guy. Considering how much the game has changed over the previous ten seasons, Fiji only leaves us with a "good guy" winner that just kind of coasted the whole way and (I believe) one contestant that was charismatic and enjoyable enough to be brought back for another season. Definitely a pretty forgettable season in the grand scheme of things.
