SOA back in top-form... Part A was a showcase for a boring MMO concept where people supposedly have fun hacking away on the same tree all day and little kids just happen to be able to reach the cave which is told of in legends within a minuscule amount of time (to be fair that could just be part of a quest/setup of the game but considering this is SAO I doubt that). Part B is lame GGO action without impact followed up by an exposition dump deluxe. TFW when you get "stabbed" in the leg by an umbrella and apparently get knocked out by that...
I'll never got the hype about this anime. Still watched most of it.

I do like the Alice in Wonderland reference. However this episode is just not good. I hope the next episode is better. This is a horrible season start.
Why go for the lower body? That is just dumb. With the umbrella, Kazuto had more reach and should have aimed for the chest. Plus, it would likely have knocked the wind out of Shinkawa. Atrocious writing. Kazuto hasn't survived as a fighter for so long by doing stupid shit like that.
