This pilot was a firm message of what is to come. After delving a tad deeper into Gennedy’s television library, I found this gem. Aliens fleeing their planet planet have come to hide and integrate with Earth’s population, but this goes awry when an attacker comes.
Basically a typical mecha setup, but partially westernized. This is a big drawback for me because feels impersonal and too grandiose, which (the very well animated) battles suffer from. I like all of our three leads and we already see some interesting power dynamics at play with the military and a mysterious organization. The plot and execution are solid, even if this isn’t entirely my cup of tea.
