David bumps into Lena with his bike and invites her to dinner by way of apology. Judit spends another night alone while her husband, Ivan, is out with another woman. Gabi goes on yet another disappointing online date.
David's ex, Timi, worms her way back into his life. Ivan takes Judit for granted, but other men still find her desirable. Gabi decides a little subterfuge is in order when she makes her next date.
Gabi has her first tryst with "Dolphin"--in a darkened hotel room. An unexpected announcement from Timi puts an end to David and Lena's budding romance. Judit finally learns the truth about Ivan’s late-night "emergencies" when she intercepts a call from Lena, his employee and on-again-off-again lover.
Lena and David can't act on their mutual attraction because Timi keeps getting in the way. Gabi consults a plastic surgeon. Judit invents a pretext to visit Dorka, a sexy masseuse who has piqued her interest.
Gabi breaks up with "Dolphin" when she learns he is married. Timi pressures David to find a job; his old friend, Ivan, hires him. Lena tries to learn her father's identity, since her mother, Rita, refuses to even name him.
David tries his hardest to get along with Timi. Gabi has surgery but things go wrong and she slips into a coma; her boss, Antal, stays by her side. Lena has a chance encounter with conductor Paul Ferenczy, which leads to a new romance.
Tension flares between Lena and David at work. After a jealous spat with Ivan, Judit begins an affair with Dorka. And at the clinic, Gabi finally wakes up.
Gabi’s first thoughts are of "Dolphin," though she does finally take note of the faithful Antal. Ivan almost catches Judit and Dorka in an unplanned tryst. Lena feels lonely and out of place when she spends the weekend with Paul and his daughters.
Dorka wants Judit to divorce Ivan. Lena learns the truth about her father, and understands why her mother refused to speak of him. Gabi inadvertently discovers who "Dolphin" really is.
Lena makes contact with her father, Ferenc Vadas. Timi and Paul present David and Lena with unexpected choices. Gabi breaks Ivan's heart.
Judit confides her marital woes to Gabi, and wishes she could confront the "other woman." Ivan figures out that Gabi is "Ella" and confronts her for the deception. Timi catches Lena embracing Ivan.
Timi miscarries; Gabi is pregnant; Judit confronts Lena about her "affair" with Ivan and kicks him out of the house. Lena's father, Ferenc, hits her up for money. David recruits Lena’s mother, Rita, for a TV spot.
Things end and begin: David breaks up with Timi; Gabi drops Ivan for Antal; Rita passes away. Judit, Timi, and Dorka move on to new romances, and David and Lena finally get together.
David and Lena move in together and start their own advertising agency. Gabi accepts Antal's proposal. Ivan is alone with no lover, no wife, and no home...and then he loses his daughter, Lili, while at the zoo.
Lena is injured in a bike accident; the Professor tells her she may never walk again. Gabi and Ivan bump into one another at Lena's bedside--is it truly over between them?
Lena blames David for her accident. Gabi and Ivan set up a rendezvous, but she's called away before he arrives. Her sister, Laura, tries to seduce Ivan, but no one but Gabi will do.
Judit has an encounter with an anonymous stranger. At the hospital, Lena re-engages in life thanks to quirky Milan, a fellow patient. Gaby and Ivan again try to meet, but this time he's delayed.
With her friend Dorka's support, Lena returns to rehab. Laura does her best to interfere in Gabi's romance. Milan tries to tell Lena the truth. Judit discovers that her mystery lover is her friend Flora's husband, the Professor.
David now sees Milan as a rival and learns his secret, arranging for Lena to find out, too. Ivan checks into a New Age clinic on a search for a cure for impotence. Antal makes the acquaintance of a sympathetic dog owner.
Ivan learns of Gabi's pregnancy and breaks out of the clinic just in time to create a scene at Gabi and Antal's wedding that brings the celebration to a screeching halt.
Ivan loses his business and is kicked out of his hotel for non-payment. The Professor moves in with Judit. Lena goes back to work, but is her romance with David on or off?
Lena takes pity on the down-and-out Ivan and gives him a job and a place to stay. She also gives Milan a chance, unaware that he is involved with Livia, a TV producer. Flora plays dirty in a campaign to get the Professor back.
Livia spies on Milan, and gets the impression that he is seeing Petra, David's young assistant. Petra intercepts a gift Milan left for Lena, and thinks David sent it for her.
Gabi apologizes to Judit and is forgiven. Flora convinces Ivan to help her break up Judit and the Professor. David learns about an upcoming expose that will devastate Lena.
Gabi proposes to Antal. David enlists Lena’s half-sister to convince their father not to participate in the expose. Milan has to flee the country due to gambling debts, and Lena decides to go with him.
Lena changes her mind about leaving. Gabi goes into labor. Ivan's potency is restored and he starts a new affair. And, after all the wrong turns and bad choices, Lena and David get back together.
