After that three-week break, The Flash is back! I expected more from this episode but it had some sort of interesting stuff going on.
I'm gonna give this episode a pass if only for that ending scene (wtf?), Breacher being back and the DC Comics reference. Oh, and how could I mention that magic Jay and Silent Bob cameo? That was fun, weird, but fun. Not to forget Dibny's "Oh, the circle is now complete. When I came here I was but the learner. Now I am the master". That one got a giggle out of me.
Null was, I don't know...okay, I guess. The only thing I'm liking about these weird bus metas is how easy they get the team in trouble. What I'm getting a bit tired of is the fact that in every episode characters are someway or another underused, especially Killer Frost. And it's getting a bit frustrating to just see Barry standing there having problems because he messes up and watching how Dibny saves the day. This episode was all to make Barry get to understand Dibny and I loved it. In fact, I didn't really understand how Barry didn't get why Dibny used humour to disguise a situation that frightens him. It's a usual method and it actually kinda works, trust me. But I'm glad that got out of the way and they both talked to each other about that. I loved seeing Jesse L. Martin playing Joe pretending to be Dibny pretending to be Joe and his "I'm Detective Joe West, the baddest dad cop you've ever come across".
The whole stuff with Breacher was great. I love it when he calls Cisco, Cisky. And his "I need your help" while trying to strangle Cisco also got a laugh out of me. Gipsy. God, I also forgot about her. Where the hell has she been? It feels like it's been ages since we last saw her.
That ending scene was brilliant. I mean, Harry's been acting shady since a couple of episodes back and I totally loved it, but today, it was a whole new level of shady acting. I love seeing Tom Cavanagh acting like that. I don't believe it was really Thawne at the end. I think it's just Harry pretending to be Thawne. Why? I have no freaking idea. If that one is indeed Thawne, he's gotta have taken Harry's place last episode. Remember when Harry shared his memories with Jesse? That couldn't have been Thawne. I'm getting excited about this and I'm probably overthinking it. If that is indeed Thawne, that would make the season automatically so much better. Moreover, Harry's behaviour could've been shady because that cap is sort of corrupting him. He's kinda the Reverse Thinker.
"Good evening, Dr. Wells. It's been 1,078 days since we last spoke. How can I be of service?" Well, well, well. I'm glad to see that Gideon is still around. No one seems to care about future technology which could make things easier, but anyway. If memory serves, the last time Gideon and Thawne spoke in the current timeline was actually back in season 1, episode 20, which was entitled "The Trap". I'm not gonna do all the math but I'm assuming that those 1,078 days are the ones going since that episode aired until now.
The whole Marlize stuff is making me uncomfortable to say the least. I'm feeling for her. Pure thing. I know she'd eventually turn against DeVoe and I hope it happens soon. Her fear was palpable.
Jay and Silent Bob are in this episode.
Was that…. Kevin smith? And he didn’t say anything so that wasn’t jay and silent Bob on the flash was it?
Googled it and he directed the episode, I haven’t watched any of the jay and silent Bob films but I love clerks
The problem with making flash too fast like in the nuclear device episode is that suddenly in the next episode he moves “slower” so the “bad guy”
can scape while he is running...
"A file with that name already exists" - that was a really great moment, I actually got goosebumps. Otherwise an okay episode. It feels like the power level and seriousness of the metas is so wildly different - some are pretty silly and weak like 'make things float,' 'stretch your body' (though the shapeshifting is useful), and 'project soundwaves' (as if we haven't seen that before numerous times with Black Canary, Black Siren, Silver Banshee), while others are mind-blowingly powerful like reading minds and affecting them and literally being lucky (which I still believe is the most OP power because it basically makes you invincible).
This Devoe plot is taking forever.
Poor Marlize.
Loved the Dusk 'til Dawn reference! The villain in this episode was kind of lame and poorly acted. How tall is she? 5 foot? This Devoe storyline is just dragging on forever without much action.
Why do US shows insist on such awful Scottish accents. Employ a Scottish (hell even an actor from elsewhere in the UK can manage the accent!) person and stop making everybody cringe!
When did Ralph became so careless? He was serious in the previous eps
Darth Vader: I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now, I am the master!

Damn, Cisco's curls are on point this week. Anyways, I must be delirious from the lack of sleep because I actually thought this was a decent episode. Decent in how the good outweighs the bad for a change. Caitlin and Cisco team up is always fun to watch. JLM playing Ralph playing Joe was hilarious. WA was kept to a minimum, no cringe moments. Marlize and the whole "new lemon recipe" sequence was really creepy and interesting. I actually felt really bad for her. All and all, not the worst we've seen from the season.
