It would be nice to recommend this, but unfortunately series 3 - at least on my access - seems only to be available in Turkish. Not knowing the language, I'm going to have to give up on it - which is a shame as I was hoping they would actually finish the bloody thing.
Bad Don't waste your tine with unsolved mystery
Very interesting concept. The dialogue probably suffered in translation, but I thought it was pretty substandard. However, the landscapes were wonderful, particularly seeing Gobeckli Tepe.
Second season was an absolute total waste.
Not a fan of the script at all, an intriguing mystery but that's about it. There's too much focus on non essential things and overal not much depth in characters and story. Just because she's a woman, an artist, has an interest in archeology and wants to go visit ruins they act as if she's insane and needs to get a real job? There's more wrong with her sister's behaviour than there is with Atiye's. Very suffocating, judgemental family. It often feels rushed and unrealistic, especially how quickly she gets a diagnosis and medication, it could have used more psychology and more depth in that moment.
To me it's more a show to skip forward through the episodes, to get to the mystery and the unravelling of it, not for the rest of the storyline.
This is a pretty decent Sci-Fi Mystery. Season 1 leaves you very much hanging tho. Season 2 gives you some answers but not all and of course raises new mysteries as well. Overall, a solid binge show.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

I didn't keep my expectations very very high after the series Hakan: Muhafız (The Protector). I ran into a series above my expectations. Although some of the scenes were ridiculous, I found the series successful in general. At least the dialogues were not like translation. The acting was not similarly bad. The use of visual effects was more successful. I watched it and never got bored. Atiye has been a series above country standards.
One of Hakan: Muhafız positive sides was the steps it took to promote Istanbul well. Atiye does the same for Göbeklitepe and Nemrut. If we look at the script in general, let's not use the word cliche, but I can say classic. But the places used in the series were good. Instead of creating a special universe for itself, the story takes place in today's modern Istanbul. Later, the inclusion of Göbeklitepe and Nemrut adds a mystical feeling to the story. Each series has a color. The selection of light cold and pastel colors was very pleasant. The music selection of the series was also good. Tense music in the tension scenes and the fact that Eastern melodies appear in the background during Göbeklitepe images further connects the viewer to the screen. One of the things I liked about the series was the importance to detail.
Of course, the characters had good and bad sides. The bad character image of Serdar was not as good as I wanted. I found it a bit simple and artificial. Hannah was obvious, too. Some things to improve the mystery of the season seemed a bit unnecessary. There were a few scenes I found extremely bad, but I want to forget them. That's why I won't mention it. It was inadequate for me that the answers of some mysteries were left to the next season and were not explained. I wish the first scene was answered in the season finale, but it didn't. For instance, it would be nice to see what Atiye's powers were. First season was like preparing for the new season. I hope the unexplained things in the 2nd. season are explained with a good script. We'll see it next season.
