The story lacked a bit in the writing and acting areas, combined with an obviously low budget (the scene with the fake river was hilarious) but it also deserves to be praised for it's no-nonsense approach to romance and friendships. It was very lovely how the two main characters and their friends respected each other. They could have easily went down the road of a love triangle with Leng Yue, Chu chu and Xiao Jinyu but they didn't and it was far better for it. Overall, it's pretty cute, but with a lot of untapped potential (probably because of its low budget).
