This continuation of "The Kennedys" made a casting mistake I just couldn't get past, Matthew Perry. I can see that Mr. Perry invested in this project, he is listed as a producer, but he simply was not right for the part - he clearly didn't take a cue from his co-cast and try to affect a Massachusette's accent, he was the wrong age or build for the part (Jackie was 3 years older than Ted, Matthew is 9 years older than Katie, Ted in the 60s was a handsome, athletic, 30ish man, Matthew is...well, let's just leave it as...not.). I was more interested in this series than it's predecessor, because it covers less charted waters, so I will probably watch all of it, but, Matthew would have invested better in this project if he had, humbly, suggested a different actor. And speaking of casting, I am a huge fan of Alexander Siddig, he's handsome and talented, but as Aristotle Onassis??? The prosthetics just make him look so bizarre that Mr Onassis is handsome in comparison. I give this a 4 (poor casting, interesting subject) out of 10.
I just finished it. In he second half the writing devoted to just bad melodrama. Final rating 4 (bad out of 10.)
