I have to say that this is a solid series from Netflix. The chemistry between Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin is pure gold, and it's what truly shines here. Their interactions are hilarious. Nothing much happens as far as the story goes, but in this instance, that's perfectly okay. There's something to be said about just giving amazing actors such as these two guys, a loose storyline to go off.

This will sound weird, but if you like BoJack Horseman then you will love this in every way as it feels almost like a live-action version.

I LOVE this show.
The story has a great pacing and the acting is great. One of the few shows I have wished for more episodes of each season.

This started with a good promise. I was excited to see what two old guys who have lived life through many of its transitions have to say when they look back. The first season largely delivers this. Can't say the same about the remaining two.

The relationship between Sandy and Norman is amazing. Both Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin were comfortable with each other and it was a pleasure to watch. The series stayed fairly laid back and progressed slowly, something like the leisurely retired lives of the two leads.

The second season had love interests, among other sitcomy stuff. That dialled down the charm for me.

The third season again picks up with grim realities of life and ends on a higher note again.

Terrible waste of time.
Suffered though the first episode struggling to find the funny bits without (laugh here) subtitles.
I'm off to watch the grass grow...

The whole show struck a fine line between being exaggerated and lifelike, being both sad and funny, hopeful and hopeless. I'm really happy that Netflix decided to tie the show up with a 3rd season, as it added a meaningful ending to the series. The only other show that I know that keeps this balance between comedy and drama is After Life by Ricky Gervais, but there's no other duo like the two main characters in The Kominsky Method.

A 100% must watch show.
