Looks like George still cannot be trusted. He's investigating himself again even though he has rejoined the 'time team'
There are many questions the show leaves unanswered, so if you're a stickler for logic holes, you're probably not enjoying the show. But if you just go with the flow, it can be highly entertaining. Mostly I'm just glad to see more Archie badassery.

So after some shooting-trainings without an Instructor, but no fieldtraining whatsoever Sarah becomes a Tactical Unit Member? Riiiiiiight. Really enjoyed season 1, but pulling in Sarah as a new Recruit is extremely far fetched. Also George, after getting in again, continues to to do his own thing? Seriously? He is becoming a new villain… Hope it’s not continuing like that.
