This season didn't really have the consistency of the first season. First of all, the conclusion to the previous season's case felt rushed - and too abrupt. I mean that guy was set up as a monster, but he was dealt with way too easily in the end.
Then there was Lisa - I don't know but all throughout the season I felt like Mickey was manipulated. Of course, he never should have taken the case (and interestingly, there was that one moment where someone observed Lisa visiting Mickey... but nothing came of that), but not just because he had slept with her, but simply because she withheld information and didn't listen.
And then there was the Cisco subplot which felt like filler material, totally unnecessary. And Maggie... talk about running from your problems.
But again, 10 episodes was too long - I think the plot would have been served better with at most 8 episodes.
This season is jumping from new evidence to new evidence constantly in almost every episode. It doesn't feel like some great storywriting when the viewer is more a bystander.

Love the books, but this season is terrible. Switched it off about 1/2 way through episode 2. Mind-numbingly boring and going nowhere.
