Love this show, just not enough hockey though
It is cute, but ultimately doesn't hit the same charm as the Mighty Ducks movies. It is also geared at a much younger audience than myself and will likely have a bigger impact on its target audience. If you need some nostalgia, feel free to check it out, but otherwise I will likely toss on the Mighty Ducks movies next time I get that itch!

No Emilio Estevez in season 2. Wtf. The dude had covid and he’s anti-vax??? What the fuck is literally wrong with him. Fuck Emilio and his stupid moronic thinking.
Side note anti-vax and their thinking boggles my mind. Makes no logical sense over their stupidity.
Loved it! Mighty Ducks are one of my all time fav series and this new one really keeps to the original spirit of the mighty ducks. This ver is really cute too and fits in pretty well with the times now. Would totally get the younger viewers more interested in the series than the older movies. Bombay's a bit of a downer but I'm looking forward to seeing him in the next season (its been confirmed, yay) and seeing how they move the story forward.
To be honest it irritates me how Disney completely mishandles Gordon Bombay. They writers even forget that he was a lawyer it seemed until a quick writing change so the characters mention it real quick.. super lazy.. other than that it's alright. I was just hoping that Bombay would have taken more of a main role in coaching, sorry no one should believe that a soccer mom with no coaching experience could take a team as far as she did. I also don't believe that Bombay would cheat the system like they said he did... total mismansgement

I feel the same way about this show as I do "Cobra Kai", it's really corny at times - but I love it. The Mighty Ducks movies were my favorites when I was a kid, and I still rewatch them every once in a while as an adult. This show respected those original movies, while also appealing to a new generation of fans.
I really liked Dylan Playfair as Coach T, I hope he comes back in season 2. But it'd be amazing if they worked Charlie Conway into the story somehow, and made him the new coach of the (new) former Ducks.
