I’m shocked that all the comments on previous episodes have focused on the episodes’ length, and not the thematic profundity or deep discomfort it is clearly striving for; it seems clear to me the two are related, because sitting with the quiet bleakness of this show for a full 40 minutes or an hour would be really tough.
I think the people wanting more plot crammed in at greater speed are misunderstanding what the showrunners are trying to do here.
Country roads take me home song at the end reminded me of Dwight and Andy singing in the Office and years after Micheal Scott joined em. Probably the best episode of the show. Till now, it's going good.

I feel like the show is really starting to finding it's footing. I'd still prefer the first 3 episodes to have been longer. If this was perhaps the 2nd episode or even at worst the 3rd, I'd be raving about this show. Adding a new character was a smart decision.

Maybe the best episode yet, it was tense from start to finish. The addition of the new character added a lot to the show on a story and emotional level. The two leads are also doing a great job.
